Since 2004, Tioga Town Center has been committed to creating a sense of place for the surrounding community and beyond. Driven by the principles of smart growth and sustainability, a farmers’ market has always been seen as a natural outgrowth of these philosophies. Each Monday, from 4pm to 7pm, a wide variety of local farmers and craftsmen participate in a weekly celebration of the bounty and the talents that enrich the health and lifestyle of this community. Tioga Town Center and Sustainable Local Market, LLC have collaborated for the past year to create the Tioga Monday Market that is poised to meet the challenge of Alachua County’s goal of reducing traffic on congested highways by providing a central hub to satisfy most consumer needs in one trip.
Tioga Monday Market features locally grown conventional and organic produce, honey & natural beeswax products, plants & trees, handmade crafts, and prepared foods, while also offering a wide variety of local music to entertain the shoppers and their families. Permanent merchants of the Tioga Town Center often offer specials on items from fresh seafood to sumptuous confections available only during market hours to provide even more value to the customers choosing to make the market a part of their regular routine. Customers on the go have plenty of parking and easy access while those looking to unwind at the end of their Monday can listen to the music and stop for a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.
Tioga Monday Market is open 50 weeks of the year, rain or shine, from 4PM to 7PM and joins its sister market in the quest to make the world a better place - one vegetable at a time. (Closed Labor Day and Memorial Day). |
